We meet the aptly named Reggie Something who claims he started The X-Files and was Mulder and Scully's partner from the beginning. From the riff on The Twilight Zone, to squatchin', to Scully's obsession with Goop-O, the strange laughs keep on coming. But the episode takes a turn for the melancholy at the end.
