The XX Files Podcast is taking a more serious tone this week. Hosts Courtney and Allison look at Season 2's "Excelsis Dei" and discuss some of the difficult topics the episode brings up like rape, victim blaming, elder abuse, and racism. They note "we found it particularly difficult based on the filming location and historical implications it holds for our city." "Excelsis Dei" was shot on the grounds of Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam, B.C., which still had some areas in use as mental health facilities until 2012.
